SO STEADY A SATURDAY!

I love steady weekends.

Last Saturday, had to cancel dinner plans with Ann and Mina. Had an afternoon delight with Mina instead. I had to give her my christmas gift -- Freakonomics (a book on basic economics) and had to borrow her Apprentice DVD. So we decided to meet up. I was en route to the office so i had to make a detour all the way to Serendra.

Took some time before we could settle for a place to eat. We both weren't that hungry, not the time for desserts either, it's snack time.

We agreed on pasta. Hopped from resto to resto checking out their menus. Until we finally agreed on Balducci (We agreed kase na we are gonna eat at some place we haven't eaten before, together). First time for both us.

We were the only ones there, the food's kinda pricey. Ordered Marinara in tomato sauce, Caesar's Salad and I ordered Vodka Kurant (gosh, hapon na hapon alcoholic ako hahaha).

They served bread with 3 different spreads (butter, liver pate, and some salsa with olive oil). At least hindi foccacia at suka hahaha, (pero in fairness naman sa italianni's masarap naman din sila). Ay panalo ang liver pate.

Then came the Caesar's salad. Yum......meeeeeh! Took a while before they served the pasta, so we were just munching on the bread and the salad.

After about 15 minutes, they served the Marinara! Ay sus, WINNER!!! Best Marinara I've ever had. Ay grabe as in sobra! Sarap! Balik ako dun just for that!

After some chit-chat, we left and had tea and coffee (for me) sa Mary Grace Cafe. Ay not so panalo, ang labnaw ng valencia ko. pero okay lang, we spent the rest of the day there. And we did something really bad. It's gonna be a secret we are gonna share with all the rest of the patrons hahahahaha.
